Denmark Fukushi Academy Bellinge was established in 2003 and offers study visits to Japanese experts and students of social welfare. Our aim is to equip participants with the necessary tools to better understand the Danish social welfare system. The participants will over the course of several days visit a broad range of social institutions, attend several lectures and participate in active dialogue with professionals. Participants will stay at the historic manor house Bellinge, the home of Mrs. Holm. The 150 year old Bellinge Manor is located on the island of Falster 130 kilometers southwest of Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.
The founders Anne and Benny Holm have presented the Danish welfare model to Japan since 1988 and has at the request of Japanese professionals arranged numerous visits to Denmark. After Benny's death in 2010 Anne has continued as manager of the Fukushi Academy Bellinge. In addition to social welfare the Academy has arranged study visits in the fields of environment, energy, agriculture, education and public administration in cooperation with experts of each field.
